Terms of Service

These terms cover Folio-specific purchase behavior, your scanned content, and responsible use.
Relationship to Apple Standard EULA
Folio uses Apple's standard End User License Agreement for App Store distribution unless App Store Connect later states otherwise. These Folio terms supplement the Atlas Peak Media Terms of Service for product-specific purchases, your scanned content, and disclaimers.
Plans and Purchases
Folio is free to download. The free tier includes unlimited document scanning, JPEG export, and a limited number of OCR text extractions per day.
Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple's App Store at $2.99 per month or $19.99 per year. A one-time Lifetime Unlock is also offered at $29.99. Premium and Lifetime unlock book scanning with curve flattening, unlimited OCR, searchable PDF and plain-text export, advanced filters, page adjustments, and the Face ID vault.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings under your Apple ID. The Lifetime Unlock is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID and does not renew.
Purchases, refunds, billing questions, and restore-purchase flows are handled by Apple. Atlas Peak Media does not receive your payment card information.
Free Tier Scope
Without Premium or the Lifetime Unlock, Folio provides unlimited document scanning, JPEG export, and a capped number of daily OCR extractions so you can evaluate the experience.
Book scanning with curve flattening, unlimited OCR, searchable PDF export, plain-text export, advanced filters, page adjustments, and the Face ID vault are Premium features.
Your Content
You own the documents you scan. Atlas Peak Media claims no ownership of your scans, the PDFs and images Folio generates, or the text Folio extracts.
You are responsible for having the right to scan, store, and export any document you process with Folio, and for complying with the laws that apply to that document.
Folio stores your content on your device. Deleting the app removes local Folio data. If you have not enabled iCloud sync, that data is not recoverable by Atlas Peak Media.
Scanning and OCR Disclaimer
Folio's scanning, curve flattening, filters, and OCR are best-effort tools. Recognition accuracy varies with lighting, paper condition, handwriting, and language. Always review extracted text and generated PDFs before relying on them.
Folio is not a certified records-management, legal, medical, or financial document system. Do not rely on Folio as the sole copy of records you are legally required to retain.
Acceptable Use
Do not attempt to bypass StoreKit purchases, jailbreak entitlement checks, or use Folio in a way that violates Apple's Developer Program License Agreement or applicable law.
Do not use Folio to scan, store, or distribute content you do not have the right to handle.
